Negative Film | Analog Photography

Series of images from the negative film
The negative, which usually remains hidden behind prints, becomes an object in its own right. I don’t see it as just an intermediate step but as a creation with its own presence, its textures, cracks, and the way light interacts with it.
I explore the materiality of the negative itself, not just as a technical tool but as an independent artistic medium. This work examines ways to reveal the hidden layers of analog photography, bringing out details and subtleties that are often lost in the standard development process.
The images carry a mysterious quality, resembling documentation of objects or surfaces found by chance, yet recontextualized through the photographic process. They hold a sense of time, capturing moments beyond the visible world through a lens that rediscovers the unseen.
